Come show off your shooting skills and help us raise money for our local Search and Rescue K-9'S ! Our goal is to buy several SAR vests for the Search and Rescue K-9'S in Sweetwater County. We have added a few extra things this year that are sure to top our event last year! Examples to include a raffle drawing for a Ruger American 6.5 Creedmoor Rifle with a Lucid Optics scope and a Marksman Competition to have a chance at winning a Springfield Echelon!
Where and When
Where: Sweetwater County Sheriffs Shooting Range
This is just right after the County public range down Little Firehole Road. There will be signs guiding where to go.
Date: September 13th 2025
Check in: 9:00 a.m- 10 a.m
Shooting starts at 10:30 a.m.
This will be ran similar to a poker tournament. It will be done with pistols only at 10yards. There will be a cardboard backer with 52 cards stapled face down. Each shooter will shoot 5 cards to get their hand. Whoever has the best hand at the end of each heat moves to the next round. Losing hands can buy back in for $10 dollars as many times as they want to try winning.
The winner of the event will get 25 percent of the money collected from the buy-ins. 2nd and 3rd will get 12.5 percent of collected proceeds. Bathrooms and food will be provided on site.
Raffles
There will be several raffles held the day of the Poker Shoot. The big one this year is a chance to win a 6.5 Creedmoor Ruger American rifle with a Lucid optics scope. We are preselling tickets for that at $30 a ticket. Click below to get in contact with us to buy tickets!
Marksman Competition
Don't MISS out on a chance to win a Springfield Echelon 9mm Pistol! We are adding a little extra competition to our shoot this year! After our Main Event we will be holding a skills test! In this you will have a playing card on edge at 7 yards the objective is to shoot and split the card. 1st round buy in will be $100 and every buy in after will be $50.
